THE HUCK PROJECT IS...

EMMA SCHWARTZ, Founder and Designer

THE HUCK PROJECT is the creation of Emma, a sixteen year-old high school student from Park City, Utah.  She lives with her parents, older brother, younger sister and two Labrador Retrievers, Buck and Mack.  Emma loves fashion, and dreams of designing in New York City one day.  She is obsessed with edgy yet comfortable clothing and life in the mountains, and wanted to design a collection that meshes the two.  She is a passionate skier  who also loves to play soccer, read and hang out with friends in her spare time.

MATILDA TAYLOR, Artist

Emma's cousin, Matilda,  brings a city aesthetic to THE HUCK PROJECT from her home in Chicago.  The highschooler lives with her parents, younger sister and Labradoodle, Boone.  She is an avid and talented artist who has been creating unique designs since she was old enough to hold a crayon.  In her free time she plays field hockey, and loves traveling and going to the beaches of  Lake Michigan.  The Mountain Goddess design was her first for THE HUCK PROJECT....she has since contributed a new design each season, including the superhero found on the Powder to the People hoodie and the Live Like Sam image.

SINCE YOU ASKED...

Our name comes from the skiing term "huck", a verb meaning to throw something. Here in Park City and in ski towns all over the world, we like to "huck cliffs", thus  jump off with our skis or snowboard (ON PURPOSE). To us, Huck means to go big, not just with your sport, but with all aspects of life. Project is defined as an individual or collaborative enterprise that is carefully planned or designed.  So there you have it.  We want our customers to feel completely like themselves in our clothes. Our hope is that you can go big in life and live yours to the fullest.
